In this post from Google, they said that "Drupal uses the Summarizer API for SEO tag generation within CKEditor". 

Is that right? I don't see any mention of it on the Drupal site, and it'd be neat to see it in action.

Ah yes, that must be it, thanks! With Google referencing it, I thought it would be more of an official core Drupal feature.
