Hi
Newbie here.
I am stuck configuring the parent - child menu for the four seasons theme. I cant seem to configure to get the child menu for my primary links to appear in this theme. The "expanded" check box has been checked, the menu settings - i have tried various combinations and still cant seem to make it work. I had posted this issue under the four seasons theme issues log but no response till now. Please somebody help. If i am posting this in the wrong category, I am sorry.

That this theme does not support secondary links.

Another potential culprit: Make sure that the primary links are the source for the secondary links.

In D6 there is a secondary links menu that adds a bit of confusion to the mix as it does not appear to be in any way associated with the primaries.

Also, there is a block named "Secondary links". This seems to only pull links from the secondary menu, not the children of the primary links. So this block is also not what you want.

Looks like four seasons uses both primaries and secondaries so the problem is most likely a sourcing issue.

Have you hacked the theme?

No i havent hacked the Theme. I just downloaded it as it is. I did give the source for the secondary link as "primary links" but it did not work. Is there some permission missing or anything ? or some module ?

are secondary links supposed to be setup as child links ? I am just setting up new primary links and making them child links under the parent primary link.
is there a certain method that i need to follow. Please help.

Secondaries are usually (for me) just links that are children of primaries. Since you set the primaries as the source for the secondaries, it seems like it ought to work.

Have you tried adding a link to the Secondary Menu? See if that displays anything.

Derek

PS. Have you cleared your cache?

Secondary links do display. there is no block under four seasons for header where the actual links are. so i cant put the secondary links under the primary links. do you know what the block or region for the links on top is ? the ones listed are left / right sidebar, content and footer.
is there something like a "suckerfish menu" (roople theme) in this four seasons theme, i tried searching for something but did not see anything. I like this theme and the look of it but if the child links dont work i cant use it.

I know it sounds silly but perhaps your JavaScript is not turned on.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I have been moving to a new pad.

Thanks, Derek

Was there as solution to this?

Hey I just clear the cache and it seems to help. But I am not getting links at the top.

Okay Finally,

Under Site building > Menus > Settings

You have to set the source of the menus for the functionality of this skin to work.

I set all three to Primary links.

I am having the same problem. I have all three set to Primary links but it is not showing the child links. If I set the third choice to secondary links it shows the secondary links that I created. Any thoughts?

I also when I click on one of my primary links it takes me to a barebones four seasons page that says page not found. No menu or anything. My Admin page shows the menu & looks fine. This may be a stupid question. How do I get something on the page so when I click the link it shows my target page complete with menu?
Very new to drupal but willing to learn :)
