Link Directory Module?

Is there a decent link directory module to be had for Drupal 6, and I'm just missing it somehow? Or would there be interest from others in such a module if it was available? I was unable to find anything that fit the bill for me, and sat down to start outlining just how a link directory type system (ala PHPLinkDirectory) could be accomplished within the Drupal framework.

If there's not a project already out there that I'm missing, and there are people out there who would use something like this, I'll keep that in mind while I'm working on my idea, so I can try and keep it open and flexible enough for anyone to use... if there's already one out there, and I missed it, maybe someone can mention it and save me some headache. ;)
