Hey everyone. I ran across a site: http://projectminimal.com/ that had a free subscription wall.

I want to do something similar with my site: http://www.ausquared.com (It's an online art school.)

Essentially, I want everything but the blog dependent on being logged in to the site.

I figure that the best way to do this is to just restrict access to content types by user level. Am I on the right track? Is there a better way?

Thanks in advance.

you are aware that shortly after allowing anonymous users to post to a website that you will quickly become inundated with spam?

I think that you misunderstood what I want.

I want to restrict access with a subscription wall so that people won't even be able to see anything but the blog unless they're logged in.

Quite possible considering the limited amount of clarity in the opening post.

I now assume you mean access to view content and not submit it? if so, to restrict view access from all content types except the blog content type you will require finer grained control than what is provided by core. Investigate the content access module

Will do. The eventual goal is to turn the required login into a selective paywall.

What is a subscription wall? (the site you reference requires a login).
