Bio:

Drew started working as a professional developer in the late 90s, founded Gorton Studios in 2001 as a consultancy designing and building large-scale web applications for cultural, media, education, governmental, NGO, art and non-profit organizations. We also built a successful developer product based on our open-source contributions, called NodeSquirrel. After running that successfully for a few years, NodeSquirrel was acquired by Pantheon in 2015 and Drew joined Pantheon as well.

At Pantheon, Drew built the Developer Relations team and helped grow a 50-person company to a value of over $1B. Since leaving Pantheon in 2022, Drew has been leading DevRel teams at open-source developer tool companies.

He currently leads DevRel for Temporal, helping developers build invincible applications that manage failures, network outages, flaky endpoints, long-running processes and more, ensuring your processes never fail.

Drew has a broad range of interests, has lived and worked in Asia, Europe and North America and speaks several languages.
