I've taken a stab at porting a couple of Open Source Web Designs to Drupal. The first is a design called Simplex. It's a fixed width 2 column design. The second is a design called leaves on oswd.org but I've called it Burnt since there is already a theme called Leaves in the repository. Burnt is a fixed width 3 column design. Both are what I would call minimalist designs.

We are a startup building an environment for interesting utilization of the next generation of digital content. Currently looking for several full-time or contract engineers proficient with Drupal to help with the development process. Simpy Integration Module Beta for Drupal 4.6

This module integrates Simpy (http://www.simpy.com) with Drupal. It is currently in Beta and should be treated as such. However it has been running in this state for more than one month on my website.

We're looking for folks who are super self-motivated, excited about
progressive values, and can make kick-ass sites...

You have a minimum of 3-5 years as a web applications developer and at
least a year with PHP/Drupal - CiviCRM a big plus. You understand what it takes to develop a data
driven web application from front to back and your strength is in
building modular code that gets the job done. You love FOSS and spend a
good amount of time hanging out with other folks who do as well. You
should have demonstrable experience with some mix off:
*nix, PHP, MySQL, SQL, Apache, CVS/SVN, bugzilla You should be familiar

I initially opened an issue to try to add this level of protection to Drupal core itself, but the issue has been marked as "won't fix".

Since I use several sites, and I do not always use the same user name on them, I'm afraid I may end up removing UID 1. Since it is actually possible, and Drupal itself doesn't prevent me from doing so, I decided to implement this level of protection with a contrib module.

I've coded a module that allows you to index directories on your webserver using drupal. It's kinda like the "Index of /" idea from apache. If you want to see the module in action click here, you can also download it from this location.
