Develop in return for stake in the company

Hello.

I know the post line is catchy but its true. I am working on a project for which we have chosen drupal as the base CMS. The site aims to develop into a very very large scale implementation (200,000 users +) over a period of 1 - 2 years.

The project idea is unique and it has the blessings of one of the top faculty at Harvard's Berkman Center. I am working on developing a production level site with some basic features and launch it over the next 2-3 months. The idea is to launch the site and then look for funding as opposed to looking for seed funding from the outset.

I am looking for someone with great Drupal, PHP and MySQL skills who can work to develop this with me in return for a stake in the company. The amount of work I estimate is around 2 months of part time work (2-3 hours a day). I have done all the basic work and I know examples of working code that need to be ported to the drupal setup wither as a plugin or as an integrated piece.

The ideal person will be someone easy to get along, honest and willing to teach me PHP / MySQL as we go along. If you are in the boston area, that is a plus. I accept that I am not a PHP guru but I know enough to know if what you are saying makes sense or not. I have some experience with WP in the past and have been a Java developer in my past life.

What will I give back to drupal?
Well, to be honest, I have donated to around most of the open source softwares I have used so far. If this project is a commercial success, I want to donate part of the profits back to drupal. Please note I am not looking to enter into a discussion about this. I respect the community and the developers and I want to do my part in supporting future development.

Website Design and Development for the URL www.StoriesForChange.net

Request for Proposals (RFP): One-Year Contract for Website Design and Development for the URL www.StoriesForChange.net

Deadline for Proposals: Friday at 5:00 PM EST, November 17, 2006

At the Gathering of Community Digital Storytellers (see blog at http://communitydigitalstorytellers.blogspot.com/) in June of 2006, more than forty digital storytelling facilitators from a wide range of communities across the country came together at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Participants connected with one another; and shared teaching methods, organizing strategies, and approaches to distribution. Participants also began to identify ways to form collaborative efforts to take this important work to the next level of impact. This event was sponsored by MassIMPACT, Creative Narrations, and the Center for Digital Storytelling.

A committee formed at the conclusion of the Gathering evaluated the feedback of Gathering participants and approached MassIMPACT to fund the initial development of an on-line community for what has become StoriesForChange.net . The Gathering participants expressed a desire to take advantage of the bloom of free, open source resources for online community development. However, the StoriesforChange Committee realized early on that although the web site needs to be fueled by the needs and participation of digital storytelling facilitators and enthusiasts, its design will benefit greatly by a paid web designer.

Getting FlatForum to work on Drupal 4.7

I have installed flatforum on my Drupal 4.7 Installation, using the Sharepoint-like Theme, which supposedly uses PHPTemplate. I've put the styles from flatforum at the end of the styles.css file in the Sharepoint-like Theme folder, added the node-forum.tpl.php to the Sharepoint-like Theme folder, and added the contents of template.php from flatforum to the template.php file in the Sharepoint-like Theme folder, and enabled the flatforum module on the modules admin page.
