The post

The post is initially for 6 months full time, but may possibly become permanent. You will be based in our offices in Stoke Newington N16 though we will allow remote working where possible. You will have full time Drupal responsibilites but will also have the opportunity to represent the company in face-to-face client meetings and in response to telephone call.

The person

Seeking experienced web programmers with the following skills: PHP, MySQL, Drupal, XHTML/HTML, CSS.

We are an up and coming mortgage optimization company that offers customers a way to enter their mortgage, income and expenses information and generates a payment schedule for them to use to payoff their mortgage in record time.

We are looking for a redesign with a new logo and colors. Several enhancements need to be made to the site to allow members to itemize their income and expenses. The permission system needs to be setup properly. The site needs to be optimized for all major browsers (FF 2, IE6, IE7, Safari.) The site will need to be performance tested and optimized so that we know when to scale the application over multiple servers.

There are only a handful of pages on the site: Front Page, Testimonials, Edit Mortgage Information, Edit Income/Expense Information, View Mortgage Summary, View Payment Schedule.

It's built on top of drupal so experience with drupal is beneficial... hence why I'm posting it here.

The project is slated to start right away and is planned to be initially a 1 month project. It's split into three phases and this is just the first phase.

1) What is your web experience? Please post links of projects that you have worked on.

2) Can you start immediately?

I've been at this project for over 2 months and managed to figure out most things (site wasnt all that complex) I needed to do. It's a site for a high school and it's alumni association.
Site has several OG modules, ecommerce, classifieds, advertisement, custom profiles using nodefamily/usernode.

The last part that is really bugging me is creating Albums for users/allowing users to create albums.

We are a small Digital Creatrive agency based in Clerkenwell, London.

BACKGROUND

We are looking for a developer with a sound knowledge of Drupal v5 and previous Drupal Module Development Experience. Also good experience of PHP/MySQL. Rates are negotiable.

Our client is an agency group who provide learning and training materials for public and private sector organisations within the UK.

The system we deploy must be able to handle conventional text and image content as well as video and embedded flash content types.

The sites to be launched initially will not have huge amounts of content, but will grow over the following months. It’s anticipated that two more sites will need to be launched later in the year. There will be a certain amount of sharing of content across the four sites.

Design templates across the four sites will be very different and items will include blogs, video blogs, other rich media heavy pages and ordinary text and image editorial pages. We’ll be designing the front end templates and providing semantic, valid XHTML / CSS for integration with the back end.

Admins within the client organisation are not necessarily hugely technically competent. We’d like to give them some sort of intuitive WYSIWYG editing environment for text, and, if possible, in browser editing, resizing and optimisation of images.
