Hello,

I'm trying to get a basic idea of the cost, and exactly what would be needed for a upcoming project. Basically, it's going to be a content centric site for a small business. No e-commerce, no user login, just a few pages for company information, and basic product information.

I'll definitely need some design work. All I have is a company logo, and some color ideas. So someone with a design background would be needed to come up with the look.

The Allied Media Conference is an annual, weekend-long gathering of influential, alternative media-makers and committed social justice activists. We gather in order to share and develop strategies, skills and resources for advancing the human right to communication. The geographic home of the AMC is Detroit, Michigan. The current website can be found at www.alliedmediaconference.org.

We seek a website that performs the following functions:

* Users and non-users register for the conference, paying with credit card.
* Users can create profiles and add content.
* Conference registrants can create profiles of organizations.
* Conference presenters add additional information about their session and travel.
* Organize and schedule conference sessions.
* Manage email lists for discussion and announcement.
* Store and manage all data from the above plus additional fields in a single database.
* Integrates data, such as user profiles, from the current Drupal-based site.
* Flexibility with themes or skins to allow for annual re-design.

We prefer open source software. We want a solution that will work for other conferences, too. The AMC currently uses Drupal, so we lean in that direction.

Demands on my time and my neophyte coding status have prompted me to seek bids for what I believe should be a relatively simple task of customizing a theme for my Drupal 5.x website. Essentially, what I'll do is say "I like this from Theme A, that from Theme B, that other thing from Theme C and this doohickey from Theme D." If my life afforded me the time to learn the basics of CSS and PHP, I would try to do the splicing myself.

The website doesn't get many hits (it potential readership is under 2,000 and it's nowhere near reaching its potential), so I'm not looking to break the bank.

Here's what I'm looking for:

• A fixed-width design with the two sidebars placed (side by side) to the right of the content column (as in the amadou, vertigo and SEOposition themes)
• A thin vertical line separating the two sidebars.
• Regions above and below the two sidebars. These regions should be the width of the combined sidebars (effectively becoming "doublewides") and be boxed.
• A graphic (similar to the style of Andreas01 and SEOposition) as the website flag. I'll provide this graphic, as well as the site's custom favicon.
• Primary links displayed horizontally below the website flag (I find the format in the Siberia theme to be attractive).
• Search bar incorporated into the primary links (ala Siberia)

Drupal/graphics expert needed. The project is a custom module which includes a fancy "eye candy" chart. PHPTemplate experience required (we're trying to avoid embedded HTML within any of our custom modules).
