I have a client and they need to leave their existing web host. The problem is that their web site has very high email traffic, has a 1-gig database, the site is based on a customized Drupal, and they have several other smaller sub-sites. The host also needs to have one of the more advanced UI's for the email and not something like squirrel mail.
Neither I, nor my client, has the expertise for this. The client does have a web designer/programmer but he is not a unix/application administrator and I am a Windows guy.
I need a consultant that could do the work. This must be done within the next two weeks (earlier the better) and must be VERY professional as this is for a client of mine and my reputation is at stake. Also the clients business is about 80% through the web site so it can't be down for a couple of days as things are worked out.
The client will need a managed dedicated server but I am not sure as too the actual bandwidth requirements at this moment. What has been implied to me is that they are currently on two Xeon servers with 4gig of ram each, getting thousands of email a minute with 92% spam, 6 domains, over 10meg of fiber connection, and the servers are getting killed. But I'm not sure how accurate this is at this moment or if the machines were not configured very well.
I'm a fairly technical and I initially posted this question here http://drupal.org/node/182980, but I don't have the time right now to try to do this myself and unfortunately I don't think such a module exists, so I hoping to find a experienced Drupal developer.
I thought I could figure it out but I'm lost. I'm looking for someone who has a better understanding to build my site. I think I can make some ad revenue with this site that can pay for yearly hosting so the sooner I get it up the better. All I need is a Blog, Forum, Store for right now. I'm not rich, but I can pay for someones help. Thanks
Experienced creating/modifying Drupal modules? Even better if you have specific experience with ubercart, swftools, and/or cck.
If you're interested in module development/modification in these areas, please contact me with your portfolio and rates.
Those without an existing portfolio, but keen to gain experience, feel free to respond as well (with appropriately adjusted rates).
I work for a new organization looking to get our website "drupalized".
The current website is in "transitional" html with menus done in javascript and internal css.
