Upgrade path from 4.7 to 6.3, changing hosting providers at the same time

I've got a 4.7 Drupal installation hosted with a crap web host, no shell access and in postgres 'cos they don't hand out the required mysql permissions.

I'm moving to a half decent host, with mysql and shell access (I use them for another Drupal installation, so I know they are OK)

I'm considering which upgrade option is better.

What text editor do you use?

Lately I've been using ConTEXT to edit my PHP and CSS files. I'm pretty happy with it, but I was wondering if there might be something better. So I'll ask the Drupal folks: What program do you use to edit HTML, CSS, and PHP?

Any recommendations?

We need a way to search for modules in the drupal site.... Please....

I'm in the process of setting up a test site for drupal6 and to see what modules are available in the new version.

I am finding it increasingly slow to find the modules' pages.

Can we have a search box for modules because if we search for a module name in the search box, you get atricles from the forum.

Perhaps the module page could be at the top of the list, or perhaps we could search like:

"module:[modulename]" and replace [modulename] with the name of the module you were looking for.

Travel Meta Search Module

This site was done in 4.7, and does not currently have the backward capability yet. The current module that was just produced is for 6.0 only.

http://drupal.org/project/travelgrove <-- currently only 6.0 available

Its a little buggy with the 'Garland' theme, but hopefully this can be fixed shortly.
