Drupal 4.7.x

Last week my host upgraded to php 4.4.6. This has created a strange issue.. my nodes - just my nodes (and tagadelic categories that have those nodes) load real slow! The main page is fast.. as are the rest of the areas like book, registration etc. The only thing that seems to be affected is the access to the nodes..

any idea how I can improve that? Earlier... before last week's upgrade.. the speed for all the nodes was pretty good.. wonder what this upgrade broke??!!

Is there any way to stop the spammers/spambots using my feedback form? I use Akismet which is brilliantly effective at catching and eating comment spam, but email is not covered.

I can of course eliminate feedback email spam through SMTP mail filtering. It's not that easy though, because I want genuine mails from the same source. I would prefer to stop them being able to send it in the first place, and preferably tarpit them and call in an airstrike.

I am very comfortable with 4.7.x and it looks many of the modules haven't been ported to 5.x , also I am fine with 4.7 as far my requirements are concerned, so Is it fine if I keep building my sites in 4.7 ? I can't see any reason to move unless there is a serious security flaw found in 4.7 or the community "asks" to move to 5.x

Is there a module or any suggestible way to impliment a "graph gallery" or "graph image layout" into Drupal for use as the front page? I am attempting to get a look similar to DeviantART.com image layout. (Multiple rows with multiple images on each row, showing only thumbnail and catagory.)

I am looking a faq system in which the questions are hidden until the topic is clicked on, then it expands like the forms which expand, like how on the content editing form clicking the input type causes the desired input types to show up.

Is there something like that in Drupal?

Can some other external script be combined in Drupal to give the same effect?

After a ton of nagging you all in the forums, my site is finally quite operational! you can see it at tenning.com. basically, its a site where anyone can make a top ten list about anything. the response has been very rewarding from all the hard work i put into. please check it out, post a list if you'd like, and/or give me some feedback! i owe the Drupal community big time for providing me with such a powerful and flexible CMS and expect me to help share what i've learned over the past few months.
