Setting Mandatory Input Types for Specific Node Types and Comments?

Hi,

My site has several different node types and comments enabled for all of them. I have had problems with users entering html and img tags in comments and simple nodes which should not have them. One of my node types, article, has a wysiwyg editor and it needs full html for images and formatting etc. I do not want any of the other nodes or comments to have it available though. As far as I've seen it does not look like this can be done (for some strange reason). Is there a way of doing this or a patch perhaps?

Thanks

cortado.jar

I,ve successfully uploaded an .ogg file. When I try to play it I get the following error

Moving to a new hosting company - 404 errors

I am moving a Drupal site to a new hosting company. I have not yet moved DNS to this host. I can load the home page of the site via:

http://ip-address/~accountid/subdirectory/

However when I click on any links or try to get into my admin account via /?q=user/login, I get the login page but when I enter my id and password, I get a 404.

I have truncated the cache, history, sessions and watchdog tables. I have cleared the cache in my browser and deleted cookies.

Idiots Guide to Drupal Scalability

We all know that Drupal can scale to handle large sites such as Drupal.org, SpreadFirefox and MTV Europe. The good folks at Lullabot have put up some great slides discussing scalability and performance.

Now without getting all technical, I thought it would be useful to get a discussion going to come up with some sort of "idiots guide to Drupal scalability" so that newcomers to Drupal would have a better idea of what their hardware requirements will be. I don't want this to turn into a "tuning Drupal thread" - rather, just to get a rough picture around out of the box performance. I know there isn't an easy answer - it depends on modules installed and various other factors but I'm sure we can come up with something generic.

So here are some questions for you:

1. How many users before a site is considered a large drupal installation (1000, 5000, 10 000....?)
2. How many nodes before the DB is conisdered big?
3. How many online users at a time before a site is considered a busy Drupal site?
4. At what points for the above questions would you moved from shared hosting to VPS to dedicated server to multi-server environments?

****Much Needed Drupal expert advice!!!! Can I use Drupal for my site?

So I received a grant to establish a social networking website for artists in the Southwestern PA area. I made the mistake of choosing a programmer that gave me a good deal, but I think he is horrible. I was quoted anywhere from $100,000 to $50,000 to $8,000 to create this site. We are supposed to launch on April 21 and most of the fuctionality still is not finished and it is messy and sloppy and runs really slow. The programmer is using cold fusion.

What I am wondering is if Drupal would be able to handle a site like this.:

Here is what the programmer has done so far:

I think it looks cheap and like he doesn't know what he is doing.
Also There is a back office component.

Firstly: Is it possible to create a site like this in Drupal?
- Is it hard to do, even if I am new to php and mysql but have some web design experience?
- After this verision of the site launches, how hard will it be to transfer all the data that the users have uploaded into their profiles without loosing it and without them having to change their passwords etc...?
- Is there anythig else I should consider?

Here is an summary of the project I want to be on the site:

Summary

Fatal Error : search.module

My issue hasnt been responded to yet, so I thought I would extend my search for help to the forums...
