Please can someone help

Installed Drupal, all seems fine but cannot log in. When I register, My password and username are emailed to me, but when I go to enter them the Drupal signing page it tells me 'no username or password is registered in our database. Now I am at a loss because I tried to do this with my other 3 email address and it did the same thing. Now I cannot try to register again because it's telling me that I cannot register, because that email address/username are already registered.

Please can some one advise?

Regards

Dave

Hi

Installed Drupal, the URL, and great the first page comes up which has the standard welcome page" Welcome to your new Drupal website!" but when I click on create first account, I am directed to my own website. Some configuration problem it seems. Would be most gratefull if anyone can help me out with this one.

Selling your Drupal-based site

OK, say you've created a nice Drupal-based site. It has a handsome design and a lot of nice features. You've used a few third-party modules to gain functionality, plus you've written some code of your own (in your theme and maybe even in a custom module). The site has ads on it and, thanks to traffic driven by various means (including SEO), has become profitable over time.

Some day, you will want or need to sell that site. Many tens of thousands of profitable sites are bought and sold every year.

re-establishing drupal site after php upgrade

First of all I'm not sure what version of drupal is running. Is there some way to find this out?

I have inherited a drupal site set up on cpanelx. The host isp has in the last day or so upgrade PHP to version 5.2.5

Prior to that our website mensa.org.au was functioning properly.

Now it shows the following when displayed

{head} {styles}
{_BLOCK_.header.logo} {_BLOCK_.header.site_name} {_BLOCK_.header.site_slogan}
{secondary_links}
{primary_links}
{_BLOCK_.header.search_box}
{_BLOCK_.header.blocks}
{_BLOCK_.node.title} {submitted}
{content}
{_BLOCK_.footer.message}

I have read the topic "CPanelX ‡ Drupal ??"

I have looked at the file settings.php in public_html/sites/default contains

$db_url = 'mysql://aumensa_drpl2:*********@localhost/aumensa_drpl2';
$db_prefix = '';
$base_url = 'http://mensa.org.au';

and some lines

ini_set(.....)

every thing else seems to be comments or commented out.

This seems to be in line with the advice in that topic.

If I go to mysql I see 2 existing databases, the one referenced above has the following info on the mysql Account maintenance page

======================
aumensa_drpl2

Users in drpl2
aumensa_drpl2 (Privileges: ALL PRIVILEGES)

Connection Strings

Just got a bunch of alerts of anonymous users looking for variants of "horde-3.1.1//README" (from 3.1.1 to 3.1.12) ...

... and also "mails/mailz/newmail/webmail/email"//README files. Obviously trying to infiltrate the site to send out mail. Anything to fear as long as they keep getting "page not found" results?
