I've searched the forums and found at least two cases where individuals have moved to Drupal from Scoop (http://scoop.kuro5hin.org). Unfortunately, there are few details to be found. One user wrote up his experience and provided links to his writup and a conversion script, but niether link appears valid now.
I really want to migrate to Drupal without loosing the content that is there now (it goes back to June 2000). Unfortunately, I am all but useless with MySql without some guidance or hand-holding.
Good monrning, I have my first and second and third questions of the day.
First: On my drupal powered website, when go to /?q=user and I log in, I see a "Enter your (website name) username, or an ID from one of our affiliates: Drupal." thing. How can I make it so people can't log on with thier Drupal ID?
Second: How can I make so users can't register?
Third: When adding attachments everything works fine, but when I try to download them, I get a 403 error. How can I fix that?
We currently write ColdFusion sites with CMS, a client wants to build a new site using Drupal and I have been looking around and would like to know afer installation where we begin.
We have HTML templates using CSS and we could do with either some advise on how Drupal works with the templates, ie. what code we need to put in OR pointing to a good tutorial site which will take us through the basics on how to set a simple site up.
Please could you help me out with either of the above?
I'm converting a site to Drupal from a flat file db blog (Blosxom) and I'm trying to figure out the best way to import the comments from the old system. I was using the Pollxn plug in for Blosxom, which basically creates parallel blog entries as comments, so I'm not expecting any kind of scripted mass import to work.
