Need help migrating your site to Drupal?

Moving to drupal

I have a site for my business that's ancient in terms of design http://www.emmanuelcomputerconsulting.com and i would like to get it into drupal. The question is..how? I can't find any way to take the current pages and drop them into drupal at all. I'll worry about redesign once i can get drupal working as my new front end.

IP.Board 2 Drupal 5

Is it easy to migrate IPB 2.2 over to Drupal 5? Any tutorials?

I know a little MySQL like CREATE, SELECT, INSERT commands. Am I overestimating the difficulty here? How much would it cost to have this professionally done?

embed in own site

I already have an ordinary website, http://libertanproject.dotbas.net , but I want the posts-system in "Interesting news" to be in drupal style (drupal is already installed).

Forum Modules other than what's built in?

Alright, I'm converting from a Joomla installation to Drupal, the ONLY thing I can see is the simplicity of the forum, are there any forum modules that have been developed other than what is built into Drupal? I'm looking for something a little more "forumy" if that makes any sense.

Any help is appreciated.

Information sharing platform - killer functions

I am actively developing a number of online information sharing platforms. These are usually for online communities that are focussed on some specific practice - for example government decentralisation.

I am very keen to start using Drupal as a base for future work - however, am still missing a few answers on potential functionality - perhaps someone can point me in some directions

There are two bits of functionlity which we consider "killer" for such a platform :

1. Document library

I need to implement some kind of structured document library, where user submitted PDF documents can be uploaded.
Required features include:
1. Record meta information - author, keywords, description, filesize etc
2. Ideally be able to structure the repository into categories
3. Good search facility, able to restrict search to one category for example
4. Keywords hyperlinked on documetn display, to be able to find related documents
5. The ability to re-use meta information from the doclib database - for example to have blocks in content area showing all docs in a given sub category, or a block showing most recent docs, etc.
6. Some form of read acess control

2. Hybrid mailing list/discussion forum

A really user friendly discussion system, where users can submit messages either via web forum, or via email.
Required features include:
