Necessary to import in Drupal some thousand articles (in .txt files), broken on several (5-6) categories.
Advise please as most easier it to make? (not manually...)
Hello. I'm new to Drupal and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I would like to convert my layout into Drupal. From what I've been reading it appears that I need to take my layout and create a theme for it, but I'm not sure where to start.
I am working on a website that currently pulls in xml data via an rss feed, then processes it using a PHP
script and inserts the data into the database.
We are moving this site to Drupal and I am wondering if there are any modules that already
do this, that pull in xml data and store in the database and then the data is displayed by Drupal?
Okay, got an issue with a flash banner I was using with my old site. It points to /services/monitoring-services/ and then with flash, it would direct the traffic automatically to /services/monitoring-services/index.html
As part of my service to Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, a theological seminary training clergy for a major American Lutheran church body, I revamped their old GoLive website with Drupal (http://www.wls.wels.net). The project has been a huge success!
The next thing I am to turn my attention to is their essay file (http://www.wlsessays.net). It is a massive collection of essays on hundreds of topics, produced over a span of decades. The site currently is constructed using GoLive, and is curated manually. This is, of course, a huge and tedious task for the library to manage. It is tantamount to running a card-catalog system instead of an online, database system for the circulation records. In other words, it is becoming antiquated.
I have only recently begun looking into drupal. I saw it on joomla when they congratulated on the 5 release. Then watched a video on drupal. I must say that even though I have invested considerable time into learning mambo/joomla over the last few years, Im ready to jump ship after seeing that presentation.
We have a forum and a *lot* of content on a site I built for my little brothers missions ( www.surfpurpose.com ).
