Need help migrating your site to Drupal?

Porting a proprietary external DB format to a CCK custom node?

I am porting a website which used a set of PHP scripts with a MySQL DB to list links to sites of interests. The DB has a few fields such as URL, company it links to and a small text description.

I have made a CCK custom node name "mylinks" that more or less recreates the same fields I use in my old external DB.

Now the only step left is to migrate the old fields data to the CCK structure. What would you recommend?

My experience with Drupal is about a week so I'm pretty novice regarding developing using the Drupal API, etc.

Converting my site from Joomla to Drupal

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this...but I am in need of some estimates to convert my joomla site over to
drupal. I have had too many issues with Joomla and it can not seem to perform the way I need it too.

My site is not very large, it uses a submit articles section, shows random images/articles.

I'm not sure if this is the correct spot to post this....

the url is www.mypet-memorial.net

Thanks.

Suggestions? Static & Dynamic Hybrid?

Hi there,

My client has a web site that consists of 10+ static pages, and then numerous password protected (htaccess) pages for each of his members.

He has approached me to rehost and redesign the web site, and i've advised using a online web content management system rather then having to use Dreamweaver.

So, I want to design a template, and then specify blocks in which he can edit. Also I would like to have a root login, one or two admin logins and then member ship logins.

Which modules should I use to make this site?

Hi!

I'm working on moving http://be-in.ru/ to drupal 5.1
Let me know which modules should I use to reproduce current site look?
THanks.

HTML adding Drupal Community Site

I am working with a group with a rather large site of HTML pages.  We are adding a Drupal community site for them, while someone else is preparing a new home page (HTML or XHTML) and continuing to use most of the existing HTML pages.  (I know, don't tell me).

Anyway I am anticipating that they will want to have a Drupal story or a page here and there through the site.  Any suggestions of a strategy I can use to present Content to embed in an HTML or XHTML page?
