Tables filter in 5.1

I've used the tables.module in 4.7 and am trying to move up to 5.1 but found out that there is no tables.module yet. The last feature request that I have seen from the tables.module page at drupal.org was posted more than a year ago. Is there a plan to get this module for 5.1? It is very useful as my users have been used to it as they extensively publish data in table form and they are not into (some of them hate) tag scripting specifically the table tags.

Switching to Drupal... But what mods?

Hello,

I'm currently making the switch to Drupal and i'm looking for some help/advice on the functionality avaliable, I have used Drupal before but not quite to the depth required this time.

Could someone please recommend the required modules or if it is even possible to do some of the things below (i know modules exist for some of the below points but there may be not so obvious modules also required for the same point which i could easily overlook. So the more comprehensive the better:

1. A directory module with the following functionality:
-Each page is categorised into one or more types of sport
-Each directory page has a photo, web link as well as other fields such as address, news or bulletin, and its own url.
-A directory page can be made by any member but must be approved by a moderator
-Directory can be searched by area (locality) or sport type or simply by name.

2. A classifieds section:
-I'd like to make it like www.gumtree.com obviously not with all those categories, but the way the classifieds are listed from newest to oldest with just the subject line then you click on that to see the actual post.
-Once again each one linked to a sport type like the directory (for ease of search?)

3. User profiles - this is the part I really am unsure if Drupal can provide the functionality i would like.

service listing module

I am in the process of converting a service listing (or yellow pages) site to drupal, but can't seem to find a module that fits what I need. Basically I need to have categories like Dining, Recreation, etc, within Dining i would have Fine Dining, Ethnic, Fast Food, etc etc... within those I would have each restaurant listed, and would like to be able to add or delete each individual listing as needed, rather than having, for example, one big page under Fine Dining with 20 restaurants that I would have to edit each time a listing changes... Hopefully this makes sense.

is there an easy way to port existing wordpress blog to drupal?

i tried the wptodrupal module. it did not work, plus it is no longer supported. is there another way? thanks, erick
