Importing User Database to Drupal??

I have an existing web site that I want to transfer to drupal. I already have several thousand registered users on this site. I'm wondering how I can import my existing user database into drupal, so that users can use their existing login when posting on forums or blogs.

Will Drupal handle this design?

Hi,

I manage the website for a (Swedish) national sporting organization. What I need to know is whether Drupal will support the website structure currently in place.
The structure is this:

At the top there is the main website, which in most cases would be the entry point. On this site general information, news articles and photograps and similar that belongs to the
national level are posted. This site is administered by me and should mainly be touched by me only.

Add a field to Vocab/Term definition?

Hello. I'm still fairly new to Drupal so forgive me if this is a stupid question ... as I try to convert our site from Wordpress to Drupal, I find I have a piece of data that I don't know how to translate, and I'd love any suggestions you have.

Display Real Estate properties already stored in a MySQL database?

We have a large database of real estate properties (over 40k) that are currently in a proprietary MySQL database, each with around 30 different fields (price, description, land area, interior area, etc, etc.).

We're in the process of converting our site to be Drupal based and are wondering if anyone has advice about how we start to move in this direction?

Is Drupal able to interface with a pre-existing MySQL database or do we need to import the data into Drupal's database?

Any help is appreciated.

Drupal and large sites

How is drupal able to cope with sites of around 40-50,000+ pages? My university are looking to move to a cms and are interested in drupal. How would it cope with such a large site? The multiple site feature from one codebase would be really useful to implement but so far I have never managed to make it work. For example if I wanted to make 3 faculty sites as follows: hums, natsci & med I assume I'd need to make 3 folders in the sites folder called hums, natsci & med with different database settings in their settings.php files.
