How far can I go with drupal

Hi all,I am laughably new to Drupal and seek some enlightenment about the possibilities one has with Drupal. You see I have this idea of a paid membership site for realtors where they can enlist offers and have discussions with one another, basically I would want the site to be a marketing tool and a communication tool for realtors and property dealers,is there a collection of modules that could work together to pull this off?.I have heard that ubercart has the ability to manage subscriptions but I have not heard of a cataloging module that can integrate with it to formulate a paid listings s

Hi folks,
First forum post here.

Looking at Drupal mainly because there's a few sites I like (whitehouse.gov, ligonier.org, hopeingod.org) that use it. Primarily I use ExpressionEngine which I love dearly but not always possible because of the cost.

I've looked at TextPattern before and found it a bit too fidgety - only now getting time to investigate other options.

Guys,I'm considering quiting Joomla because of the lack of good ecommerce extensions and the quality of the extensions in general.I thank god everytime I get a Joomla extension to work without error and I'm sick and tired of trying to find bugless Joomla extensions,it's mission impossible I tell you,but then again,I learned to use Joomla in 15 minutes and people say this would be impossible with Drupal. What does it take to build a working Drupal site, all I need is to set up a product catalog and orderform and payment processing, which means simply inserting a product list and setting up a me

Old broken incoming links not forwarding to specified 404 page

I've been using drupal for a year and a half now and just realized that my old incoming links are not forwarding to my specified 404 page in the admin. Under "error reporting" in the "site configuration" section of the admin I have just left the text field blank that follows my domian url (I'm not specifying to send them to a particular file just my root domain) so it should forward any broken links to my home page since the form has http://www.mysite.com/ followed by a text field to name a particular file.
