I am struggling to import data from Blogger (I have the xml file). Blogger_importer only works on v6. So I imported into a temp site built on v6, then created a view to export the fields i want into csv files... all that is ok.
The problem I have is to import these csv files into v7.
How do I do that? Is their a module which is ready for v7? I have not found one yet.
I'm a pretty experienced php developer but drupal newbie, looking at using drupal for a new project.
So this is possibly about converting me rather an a site per se!
There have been a lot of changes from 6 -> 7. I figure I might as well go straight in at v.7
So far I've bought a couple books, run thru some tutorials, watched some vids. I have a demo site up with sample data inserted via devel.
The project content involves a fairly typical hierarchical structure of parent/child categories, with the bottom level children having individual items.
I have a photo website which is using css-oriented style where the website such as menus, background, log In dialog is focused on images as their background-image.
I need to migrate to Drupal, but before that I need to understand it is very tedious to do it ? (the website is not very big at the moment)
I understand that Drupal has its own theme, if I am going to migrate from the website to drupal. That means I need to customise my own theme ?
I am new to any type of CMS set up for a website, but definitely in particular to Drupal. I am going to need my html files for my websites to be uploaded, but wanted to know if it is possible to have Drupal access the right column which I dedicated for "recent news" and "blog excerpts." I am just needing to figure out how to figure this out, since I am still a newbie to php.
Also if anyone has any links that can help or tutorials that would be great.
