I just change my hosting to site5. I was looking some times until I can use drush on shared hoting, so I think would be useful to share some experience :)
so installing drush on site5
- you must have enable ssh
- you need some soft: I use putty
- after you connect to you hosting just download an un-tar drush using wget and tar (outside your drupal directory)
- edit your alias in .profile (logout/login and check your drush is working - is working!)
but, after a while I have issues regarding php limit memory ....
With as many hosting forum posts as there are about complaints about Drupal on shared, and then replies recommending VPS, I can't help wondering if Drupal is working for anyone at all on a shared platform?
If I have a small Drupal site, that doesn't have any login (user) capability, can shared hosting actually handle it?
Hi. I tried posing on my Drupal blog today but got the error message at the bottom of this post. A little bit of trial and error led me to discover that if I use the words "alter table" (this is a post discussing an sql query) in the post then I get the Forbidden access error. But without these words the post is successful.
I am using Drupal 6.17 on a shared host. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
