Multilingual website with paragraphs

Good evening / morning everyone,

I was about to finish the new version of my website with Drupal 8.8.5 and a theme built mostly with paragraphs and flexible content. I understand that (and why) some fields in paragraphs are not translatable with the usual process. No problem with that, as I have the issue only one two pages which are not intended to be modified (home page with a slideshow and photo galleries list page).

[Solved] Remove unwanted menu translation

Hi,

I've installed Drupal in english, and added french language later.

According to the settings in admin/config/regional/language, French is now the default language of the website.

The admin menu is translated in french, which is nice, but the labels of the main navigation menus are translated too, which is a problem.

For example, if the label is "Switch" (as in "Nintendo Switch"), in the menu it appears as "Changer" (a french translation for "to switch).

How to change default language?

I installed Drupal in English. I made my website in Polish. All content is in Polish. I would like to make an English version now. I installed the Polish language and set the site's default language. I would like to translate the content into English now, but Drupal thinks that my site is in English and I only have the option to translate it into Polish, even though the content is already in Polish. Also I want Interface in English, but when I swiched default language in Polish my Interface is Polish too. How to change that?

Without translation of Admin system

I'm using translate features to create a multi-language site, but how do I switch the settings so that I don't get the target language in my Admin user interface when I try to edit a translated page. I just want the page contents and menus translated on the front end, but not my admin back end.

Translate READ MORE at article overview page

Hello,

I want to translate the "READ MORE" text, located at the /node page with the article overview, however i cannot find where to change this. To try to translate, i did try to find it at the translate page, located at /admin/config/regional/translate, however i am not finding a string with "READ MORE".

Where can i find this to be translated?

Best regards,

Roland

Translations not updating on localized TLD

New issue in D7 site, as of around the beginning of 2020.

Editing nodes and blocks as usual in the .com site, publishing. The expected behavior is that when I go to the localized TLD, such as .es or .fi, I will see the updated content. That's how it has worked in our D7 site for the three plus years I've been working on it. Now when I go to the localized page on the TLD, the content has not changed. EVEN WHEN I DELETE OR UNPUBLISH the content, it's still there, unchanged.
