Theme development

Hi,
can anyone tell me how can i change the heading type on my homepage: www.ulpanet.com
(where it says "Learn Hebrew") from H2 to H1?

I am having a lot of issues building a Zen sub-theme ... I have actually got to the point where I have finalized the design on my local machine (it looks great there) but then wen I moved those exact same files to a live server nothing seems to work ...

I have copied Zen along wt the sub-theme that I am creating to my server and it does not function at all...

The css and js files are called into the browser but Drupal does not seem to be abiding by any of them

I am building a custom theme for a website that I am working on... The thing is Drupal does not seem to recognize/sometimes Obey any of the instruction that are existent in the .info file.. There are times wen all of the files are called into the browser (I see them when I view the source in the browser) but Drupal does not abide by it.. At first I thought it was an issue wt one page alone.. but wen I started 2 checked over other parts of the site I noticed that nothing was displayed as I had styled/configured them..

I'm sorry, I had a hard time giving a topic to this and finding out if anyone has done it, so forgive me if I'm asking a question that's already been answered, but my small question is as follows.

I have styled the input type=submit by using css so that a background image is being displayed. However, the value is set to "Search" which is also being displayed. I would like to remove it, but am not sure how to get to it... I would prefer to not modify the core code. What are my options in removing the Search text?

I started off with a zen theme...

i was searching for #sidebar in main.css (SimpleCorp theme) not able to find , how to change sidebar-second font size and color.
