Customizing Search Results display with $search_results

Using the basic Drupal search module, I'm trying to customize how the list of results appears to the user after they enter a keyword and click 'search'. I've managed to get it to the point that it displays the title (twice!) and the teaser and NO author and date information. That's mostly good, except I don't want the title displaying twice.

I'm pretty sure that's happening because the teaser (which I need) contains the title, and this $search_results variable which has an

Bartik Theme won't change colour

I installed the latest version of Drupal.

I'm using the default theme (Bartik).
However, when I change the colour of the theme using the colour module, the result ends up like below.

** EDIT **
Ok, apparently only local links are allowed.
The symptom is that even if I change the colour to for example, "Slate" or "Firehouse", the links(anchor tags) are blue and almost all the colours are gone. It's just white. The website seems like there is no css applied to it.

The only theme colour that will work is the default blue.

Colorbox Node throws 404 in IE

I am using colorbox_node to display a node in a Colorbox modal window. I am using the syntax described in the Colorbox Node project page:

<a class="colorbox-node" href="node/' .$row->nid. '?width=600&height=500">Read More</a>

This works in FireFox (the modal window opens and displays the node content) but not in Internet Explorer 11. IE throws a 404 error stating that the requested URL was not found.

thanks in advance.

Offsite badges

Please forgive the novice question -- I'm a newbie!

My client has a number of badges that they'd like to be able to add to the footer of their site. These are javascript widgets that link to various sites. I know I can add them to a block by keeping the text format at PHP, but is there any way to allow them to add them themselves in future, without creating a security hole?

Thanks! Jennifer

who knows wich theme is it?
