Theme development

I'm new to drupal and I'm trying to learn as much as I can in so little time.

Basically I'm creating a news website and would like a responsive site. So after researching I'm using bootstrap framework and would like to customize the menu to look similar to the FA website : http://www.wembleystadium.com/Events/2015/Community-Shield/FA-Community-...

I have been trying to render a ataxonomy term in Drupal. The field name is "field-video-format". All I want output is .mp4 without any tagging and I am unable to render it without the following html:

<div class="field field-name-field-video-format field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even">.mp4</div></div></div>

I have seen a wordpress-theme (http://www.elegantthemes.com/demo/?theme=Vertex) - any ideas on how to build such a thing in drupal?

There my problem:
When i open some content type coment and click reply link i get something like this:

Ok so my only experience of using CMS is wordpress. Its pretty quick and easy to install and setup by simply donwloading a theme and configuring it. So for Drupal, I have tried to find a property theme but to no avail. Instead I noticed you can get property modules instead! (surprising) so now I am very confused, can someone explain to me how this works? So does that mean I can install any theme and then install the property module? If so, what theme should I choose?

I have created a content type Article including the fields Field 1, Field 2, Field 3 ......

All these fields have multiple values. I also created the custom template for this content type.
