Drupalers in the Los Angeles area?

Update by Christefano: The LA Drupal user group can be found at http://groups.drupal.org/la and on Twitter at https://twitter.com/ladrupal

Hey Los Angeles Drupalers!

Let's connect and start a local user/developer group.

I head a young nonprofit, and we are using Drupal for our main site, as well as building a social networking site with it. I'd really like to connect with other Drupalers in the area.

Multiple Event-Dates

Hi!

Drupal is a great thing :-) and I'm using the moviereview-module to show upcoming filmevents in the event-calendar on a new site. Now what I would need is to have the possibility to enter multiple startdates per node like the already implemented possibility to add multiple actors in the moviereview-module. As I'm not a programmer I'm quite lost here and would appreciate any help!

thanx in advance

Vancouver Drupalcon session--Large Project Workflow Improvements

i'm hoping to get a little discussion going here prior to the actual session. see here for a summary what the current outlook/goals for the session are.

i'm looking for ideas on what specifically we might want to cover in this discussion. What are our roadblocks to making big changes in drupal happen more easily?

Here's some initial things i think would be great to address:

drupal conference next week -- find a developer for ecomm?

The Drupal conference happening next week is great! If you haven't checked it out, you should consider going.

A couple of requests:
1) is it possible to provide a spreadsheet list that we can print out of attendees off of drupal.org with people's usernames in one column (sorted alphabetically) and real names in a second column. I know people primarily by their usernames.

2) is it possible to provide a list of developers attending, again by username and real name in alphabetical order? a bunch of us have been struggling to make paypal framework and paypal subscription work. we are talking about putting together a pool to pay a developer to upgrade and maintain those 2 modules, and have it not conflict with the ecommerce. (ecomm cannot replace paypal subscription because it cannot do recurring, automatic debits, or do more than 1 role.)

3) if there are others who are interested, is there a way to provide a time to meet the developers? not during a session I think because we don't want to miss a session. maybe there is a day when we can all go out to lunch together.

if you are thinking of hiring a developer (and I see a lot of posts on this site, particularly for ecommerce), do consider going to the conference. there are about 200 people coming, and about 2/3 are drupal people. they are flying in key drupal people (including dries and chx) from europe. kieran will be there too
