Please let me know what you think about the overall feel of the site. I still have several more weeks of development to go so not all links are working at the moment. Basically the premise of the site is to provide a platform for Cordova High Track athletes, coaches, and supporters to interact online, and to provide the general public with relevant information about the organization.
OK, I don't want to sound too dramatic about this but won't blame myself as I have every reason to be :)
But before I starts talking about it, I would like to give a BIG thanks to some of the most wonderful people like verymisunderstood who seems to be single handedly taking care of the forum. Thanks mate, u had helped me alot during the early days. There are also lot of IRC members who had helped me in later days for instantaneous help like litwol/michelle/kabhey(there are way too many to mention). Will surely look to contribute more to the community from now on.
So Let me introduce you guys to http://www.coders2020.com/ - my little baby on whom I have spent 2 months (it is in beta, so not yet finished, I am adding few more features to it as well as working on presentation part of it)
I had built it on 4.7 last year and it had started as something fun but now the whole project and idea has become very serious. The site gets around 50k uniques/month and I will be looking to take it to 250k uniques/month with million views in next 4 months time. Its nothing flashy, the design is simple yet effective. I have intentionally avoided anything which I felt is not in alignment with the Core Idea of the site.
I have just recently completed a new web site and I would greatly appreciate any feedback that you have to offer. The website address is : http://collectivecolors.com.
This site uses mostly sprites for background images and anchor tag subclasses. This arrangement really reduces load times dramatically (press a some buttons when you get there to see what I mean).
Different types of people meet online at yoci.de to do stuff offline. Users are invited to post their personal events, activities and hobbies. It starts with acvities like: somebody needs help for moving, to set up a big party up to meet people at a live-earth concert. If you want to, you can even plan your holidays with yoci.de.
It really starts getting interesting if people sign up for activities. In a quick way all the other users see what’s up, who is joining and who knows whom. The whole website follows on single minded message:
