I play in this band for fun and couldn't find any software I liked that worked well in a live situation - so I wrote some - really I would have bought it if I could have. Naow the app is pretty solid and I've been polishing it so I figured I'd make it shareware.
Enter Drupal. I'm working on a shareware site to handle
1) Marketing - features and news blog
2) Documentation
3) Distribution/Downloads
4) User Forums
5) Licensing - purchase/key recovery/authorization/payments

I did a new theme based on the zen starter theme. The theme tries to look a bit like the app, which tries to look a lot like classic audio gear (such is the state of audio processing software - it all looks like cool vintage audio gear). So far I think I've got 1, 2, and 3 although I'm using Image Galleries for documentation and I have to confess these are kind of hard to work with. There seems to be no way to reorder images and they appear in reverse order - so I had to kind of put in the topics backwards.
I would have thought a set of book pages would be better - but I see no way to attach images, despite having the image module installed.
The forums are there, although I'm torn between using the current forums and using PHPBB integration. I like PHPBB but we'll see how this works for now.
