I've been playing with Drupal for about a week now, and I'm loving it, but still getting a hang of the ropes. I'm wondering if there is a way to change the user registration process so that a mailout is not required, and either (1) the user chooses their own password or (2) drupal generates it and displays it on screen (as per the initial account creation)?
I was wondering, what type of vocabulary does drupal.org use for the setup of >>projects>> issues . I tried to understand how the heck it was implemented, and how you put different catagories under it like : Project, Status, Priority and Category. Not sure how to connect them all with each other. I tried reading the Admin manual but i dont quite understand how drupal.org did it.
Is it fairly easy to implement a vocabulary for the users to create projects and for a certain amount of users to work on the same project?
I recently installed xxamp and drupal; and i've got everything working so far. My only problem is that all the links are set to localhost, rather than my domain or IP. I can't find a place to correct the problem. Can anyone help me out? I'm sure it's simple; I just need some direction. Thanks in advance.
I have a user that does all the submitting of stories to our site. We are using Drupal 4.5.0 (soon to be 4.5.1). When he does the submitting, he does it all at once, i.e. - he submits several stories one after the other. He was wondering if there was a way that I could change it so that after submitting a story, it would go back to the story submital form so that he doesn't have to drill down through the create content menu to submit the next one. I've looked through the code a bit, but have been unsuccessful thus far in finding where I would have to make this change.
Apologies in advance if this is an incredibly stupid question, but, how do I put stuff inside a node or page that operates like a block?
My objective is to avoid the "restriction" of just having left/right content blocks and create a page that has some block-type functions in it. if you know what I mean.
Even a point to a similar/related thread would be useful if you don't have time to give me some tips - I have tried searching through the drupal forums with no obvious pointers.
