Drupal 4.7, PHP5 and MySQLi?

Hi All,

I know the system requirements page for Drupal recommend using the latest version of PHP 4, but I was just wondering if this is still the case for Drupal 4.7. Also, I read in the changelog that Drupal now supports the PHP 5 MySQLi extension. What are the advantages of using this over the regular MySQL extension, and are there any special considerations when using it?

#1 complaint from users of my site.......

Links don't open in new window.

Since my site is based on links alone if a user clicks on one and then gets deep into that site they have to click their Back button numerous times to get back to my site. not good.

I've searched around this forum via the search function here and using Google and while I found tons of topics on "links opening in a new window" I couldn't find a solution.

95% of the links on my site are entered by users with Weblink so that's the only node I need the new window function working on.

is there a quick fix to this?

4.7 & Category

I have performed a fresh install of Drupal 4.7
I then dowloaded modules category-modules but get an error when configuring it:

Table 'drupal47_judo.view_view' doesn't exist query: SELECT vid, description FROM view_view ORDER BY description in /data/www/judo47/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 120.

Location: http://mydrupalsite/?q=node/add/category-cont&destination=admin/category

I assume there is an undocumented dependency with the view-module?

How to reset or remove "Reads" counter?

While testing out various features of my 4.7 site, I activated the page Read counter briefly, before deactivating it.

However now the pages which logged a few page views on their Read counters are still displaying their "2 reads" info, even though the option has since been switched off.

How should I go about removing these unused Read counters?

'Add Comment' does not show up on Homepage for Anonymous Users

Hi everyone,

I think this question will have a simple answer - I apologise in advance if this has already been asked but I did do some searches without seeing any question to fits my description. I'm running Drupal 4.6.5.

When an anonymous user sees my homepage they cannot see any 'Add Comment' links on the Teasers, but if they read the full article they can. When I log in (as administrator) I can see the 'Add Comment' links on the homepage. Is there any way to show the add comment links for anonymous users on the homepage?

Thanks for any help
