Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

pathauto performance?

I'd like to hear your thoughts on using the pathauto mod on all content for a heavy traffic site with a lot of content.

For example, lets say I allow pathauto to set the following:

All stories to have the URL of www.domain.com/month/day/year/story_title
All forum topics to have the URL of www.domain.com/month/day/year/forum_title

Moving the search "button" below the form input...

4.6

Feedback and Login have the "submit" button below the form I'd like to have my search submit button the same way.

I just spent three hours trying to get something so simple corrected. no luck though.

any advice?

"create content" menu item

I installed drupal 4.7 and every thing was working fine.
I tried playing with Primary Links and menus.
After some customization the "create content" menu item which was visible under "Navigation"
for only logged in users, is now visible to anonymous users as well.
I am not sure how to prevent not logged in users from seeing the "create content" menu item.

If i click the reset button for "create content", It is moved under Primary links and is disabled, i.e.
no one can see it, in Primary links.

Cannot submit form to create first user

I found a similar problem in the message boards but it was for RC4. I downloaded 4.7 30 minutes ago from this website. I couldn't find any kind of signature for the file but i've used 4.6 a lot before and i recognized most of the directory structure. I did just like i had done before on 4.6 and imported the pgsql dump, configured sites/default/settings.php and browsed to the website. It worked fine after removing some things from .htaccess that were not supported by the vhost configuration but when trying to create my first user it says i must enter a username and an e-mail address.

Forum redirect

When i create a forum item and submit the thread drupal redirect to my sites front page how can i get drupal to point back to the forums page

Weblinks: Different titles, same url.....possible?

4.6

I could have swore I saw somewhere in Drupal where I can make it so the same url can be used for different titles in the Weblinks module.

Did I imagine that?

I'm trying to break things down by catagory and this would help big time.
