Post installation

I have added the TINYMCE Module as per the steps in the install document. It is there in administer - settings - I have created a profile for admin and am logged in as the main user/admin. However when I go to create content nothing is showing up.

Sorry for the blondeness I am very new to Drupal and TINYMCE. I am guessing I haven't set up the profile correctly somehow but am not sure as to where or what have I done. Wondering if anyone can assist at all?

Short posts have a read more url underneath. THis is terrible for the visitor, who will get very frustratedwithin two or three such clicks. Hw can this be disabled (the link) for posts which are less than the teaser limit?

ok i need to have a user wit the id of 2 but i have already created and deleted that user id so is there any way i can manually add a user to my db using mysql so i can have one with the user id of 2?

For some reason cron.php is running every hour on my drupal 4.7 site and I never even added a cron job to my web host or through any other method? Anyone know why crons are happening automatically?

From the administration section, when i try to edit a menu item, for instance q=admin/menu/item/edit/46, i have a blank page. Does anyone knows something about that ? There's no error in the logs.

I know that the problem of the admin/modules page not showing up is sometimes due to memory_limit= not being set high enough. Mine is set to 50M right now and it is still now showing up all the time. Any suggestions on how to debug this?
