Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Categpry Breadcrumbs not working

I've been working with the category module for the last 4 days and have gotten it to do a lot, but this problem still eludes me: the final category breadcrumb wont display! Here's my heirarchy:

CCK content type: 'Articles'

Category Module:
Articles (menu item)
- Stories (hidden container)
-- Story (category)
---Story Type (hidden Container)
---- Opinion (category)
---- Review (category)
---- Interview (category)
---- Announcement (category)
---- News (category)
---- Other (category)

robots.txt with Clean URLs... OK to block index.php

As Google likes to index my Events calendar until the end of time, using up a fair whack of bandwidth along the way, I'm planning on blocking /event in my robots.txt. (I have clean URL's switched on).
However, due to errors in my logs, it also seems that Googlebot likes to follow the index.php?q=event... path also.

Not knowing the technical innards of how Clean URL's work, can anyone tell me whether putting /index.php in my robots.txt is going to have any catastrophic impact on search engine indexing...

Thanks.

Registration email not sent to some addresses

I'm moving my drupal-powered site from one server to another, and I'm stuck on a strange problem. In the old server, everything was working alright just as I like it. In the new server, I found that the registration email does not get sent/received if the user's email address is a forwarder. That is, if the user's email address is not a real email address, but only a forwarder to another email address (for example, someone using the address myname@sitename.com and forwarding it to z123456@abc.xyz.edu or something like that). I know that's probably not a common setup, but I know some people use that... If the user's email is a real email address, the email get sent and received alright.

As far as I know the code and the drupal settings are the same in the old and new server. I can't get my head around what could be the problem. Well the servers are obviously different servers. And the new server is kind of stricter... for example they don't have Apache's rewrite_module loaded, and they don't allow shell access. I'm afraid I don't have much control at all over the server settings.

So I'm posting this here, hoping for the odd chance that somebody out there has come across a problem like this and can give me pointers. Can anybody help? Is there any additional mail headers that I should set in the registration emails that would solve this problem? Or anything else? Any help or pointers would be much appreciated.

ConTemplate, CCK, Exposed Filter combo not working?

I've got the CCK installed with Contemplate. I've created a custom content type and added fields to it. I created a view to display a page of my content at a time. In that view I've exposed a filter for the node title. However, it does not appear to function at all.

Is this a result of using contemplate? Is it a view/CCK integration issue? Anyone have a similar problem?

Thanks!

P.S. Bonus question: how do I re-style the list/table view layout/colors? :)

Page Not Found and problems when i click MODULES

Hi.
Our website was ok until recently we clicked MODULES and all of the database is corrupted and we get an error page saying line code error (can't remember what it is) but apparently some other users here had the same problem when we searched.

Creating searchable yellow pages like directory with featured listings

Hi
I have jsut installed drupal and wanted to know if there was a module or a clue to the process I would go through to try to do the following (or similar):

I want a searchable directory of service providers on my site. something like:
Services Directory
Suburb
State
Postcode
Country

select one or more of these criteria and press search. Return a page of contact details for businesses that match the criteria.
