"Please help fixing an elusive login issue" post on the frontpage

The post: http://drupal.org/node/115889 : "Please help fixing an elusive login issue" that was on the frontpage this week seems to have been removed from the frontpage.

I would like to find out what the final conclusion is regarding that as I am interested in this. I have had sporadic problems similar to this, but I couldn't always regenerate the problem.

Was a patch rolled against the issue? I can't seem to reply to that issue anymore.

Thanks

Taxonomy and CCK

I have created a new content type using CCK, but it appears I cannot assign nodes of this type to Categories defined with the core Taxonomy module. Taxonomy is pretty central to my site navigation, so it would appear I am limited to the standard content types. Have I missed something? Is there a way to combine CCK and Taxonomy?

Calendar/Date field error... error on all pages. Showstopper.

Drupal 5.1
Modules: CCK, Views, Calendar Views, Date.

I created a CCK content type Events, with custom 'date' field. I got the error below on the calendar pages.

QUESTION: Is it necessary to "add" a new view based on calendar to create a block with a calendar interface? It seems so to me. The calendar does not seem to do anything with only the default view (?).

Organic Panic: Theming Groups (OG)

I love the groups function but I would really like to theme the groups home page to hide the "River of News" beneath the "Welcome" message. Basically I just want the welcome message and the group details sidebar showing.

Should I do this at the theme level (how)? Or just remove something from the module file?

Any suggestions?

Cheers and thanks.

Viewing the number of votes with Jrating

Is there any way to view the number of votes something has using jrating? Other than looking at the actual object?

For example is there any way i can view content based on the number of votes?

Thanks!

Category module term hierarchy SQL question

I have been trying to arrange an arrangement with the category module in which categories belong both to a class like "page" and to a class like "committee" or "member", so as to set up access permissions using cac_lite. I may well not have understood how I should go about this, but in trying to figure it out, I have been looking att the MySQL database with PHPMyAdmin. I find that the "term_hierarchy" table (which sounds relevant) is identified by PHPMyAdmin as having a problem. Here's part of what shows up when I browse term_hierarchy:
