Upgrading Drupal

Hallo we have drupal 5.1 a custom made theme and common modules installed.
I have to change hosting and best offers comes with php5 and mysql5.
I completely don't know and cannot find if Drupal 5.1 is compatible with php5.

I've tried to have a look at the upgrading procedure but it seems to me extremely complex. Does it involve coding in the themes files? I cannot do this :-(
Do I need to check modules compatibility with newer version?
Do I need to manually update the database?

Dorry for many question, Drupal is complicated for me

I follow upgrade.txt and disable all module that are not in the core, and after save configuration, the site return me only page not found for whichever page.

Hi, I just upgraded my drupal version from drupal-6.2 to drupal-6.3. I was using views and it all looked fine.
I then proceeded to upgrade my views module from views-6.x-2.0-beta3.tar.gz to views-6.x-2.0-rc1.tar.gz

and i get the error
warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, 'views_access' was given in

similar to the one on http://japukinola.com/

Any pointers on how to fix would be appreciated.

I am trying to import our current site into a development environment in order to test run the new update 5.8 but when I try to import the exported dB I get an error in PHPMyAdmin:

You probably tried to upload too large file. Please refer to documentation for ways to workaround this limit.

Now is there a work around for that max file size limit in the GUI interface?

For some reason when I went to upgrade from 5.1 to 5.8 my site is all messed up. The theme is not correct, and when I try and login it goes to: http://www.tchcableramps.com/index.php?q=user and its just a blank screen.

I try and run the update.php file and get this error: Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in C:\Inetpub\tchcableramps.com\includes\form.inc on line 342

IF anyone can help please. I forgot to backup my database :(

Here's a list of files changed by the latest Drupal upgrades. We use this so we don't have to replace the entire Drupal installation, as usually only a few specific files have actually changed.

Files Changed by Drupal Upgrades - simply select your Drupal installation to get the list.
