Problems with slideshow_creator after upgrading from 5.7 to 5.8

somehow, the upgrade seems to have killed my slideshows. The layout of my site has 2 slideshows in the header section of the site. Neither of these work now. I can create slideshows in any other block or node as I wish and they work fine, but the header section no longer supports javascript, so it seems. Does anyone know of a way to correct this? I want to upgrade my production sites, but I cannot without the slideshows in the header.

Sincerely... frustrated.

500 Server Error when upgrading from 6.2 to 6.3

I have backed up my site folder and uploaded a brand new drupal-6.3/

I have also uploaded my site folder to drupal-6.3/sites/

When I am trying to run update.php I get the following

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@nscientia.skule.ca and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Unknown column 'language' in 'where clause' query...

I am updating my 4.7 page to 6.3, but there are some problems. Update to 5.8 went without any problems, the page works very well. But when I try to update to 6.3, I get this error and the updater won't run:

Warning: Unknown column 'language' in 'where clause' query: SELECT src FROM url_alias WHERE dst = 'node' AND language IN('en', '') ORDER BY language DESC in /home/*myaccount*/public_html/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 128

If anyone could help me to solve it, I would be very grateful. I am sure I followed the update inscructions correctly (turned modules off, etc..) - I already tried it many times just to be sure, but it still doesn't work.

I am aware this problem has been mentioned several times already. I searched the Forums, but didnt find the definite answer though. Someone provided a link to Language Subsistem which might solve the problem, but I didn't install it yet because (a) I am still unsure if it relates to my problem, and (b) the Subsystem is from 2007, while the newest version of Drupal is from 2008... I was afraid using the old files would result in more problems.

update array errors

Hi!

I didn't realize there was a different process for updating and just ran it over the top of enabled modules.
Afterwards, whenever I would add another module I would get an update notification on modules that I KNEW were of the latest version and also the security alert for the v.6.3

When I finally realized there is a different process to updating drupal vs. just extracting in the directory, I followed the directions to the letter but got the following error message:

Upgrading from 5.8 to 6.3 - it asks me for database name and username

I disabled all the modules se the user to default admin and set the theme to defaults theme

I though upgrading will just be done in 1 click, but not it wants my database, database user and database password

Is that ok?

I also had problem overwriting old setting.php file, so I renamed it and then and copied the setting.php from 6.3 to the new directory

Is this upgrading ok? or is there something wrong?
