Modules missing after drupal upgrade from 5.8 to 5.11

I have just finished upgrading my site from drupal 5.8 to 5.11, and found that some of the "other modules" and "core optional modules" are missing, such as tinymce, token and tellafriend. where possible did i go wrong? Is it common in drupal upgrades?. my site is www.website-hosting-servers.net

Thanks for you ideas or solutions.

It says I upgraded to 6.5 successfully, yet theres an error everytime I click a link in the admin panel?

I upgraded it successfully and I clicked the link to take me to the admin panel after the installation. But when I clicked any link in the admin panel it gave me an:

"Internal Server Error

Please contact the server administrator, cpbackup@gmail.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

image updating grief

Trying to upgrade my website to drupal 6.5, I have run into a multitude of problems, among which the image module failing to update the database. The problem is that there is no 'image' table, it was removed when I updated to v. 5.x-1.9 of the module. Does anybody know a solution?

Is disabling contributed module necessary during upgrade?

Hi

1. I was upgrading from Drupal 5.6 to 5.7. In the update.txt, it says to disable all contributed modules, and while I did so, two fields were deleted which I created using one of the modules.( I did not know which module was responsible for it).

I think r-enabling after upgrade might not have created them back? (or if yes, then please tell me)

So I was thinking that do we need to disable the modules before upgrade? Or can we do without it.

2. Also do we need to disable the core-optional modules also before upgrade?

Please guide me on this.

Modifying "FileField" module to zip files

Hi I got a problem which I urgently need to solve.

CurrentlY i have a web from called "Creating a new Learning Activity" which allows users to upload files (multiple allowed). What I need to do is everytime a user uploads files (say a movie, a powerpoint and a word document), and clicks "Submit" it should be able to zip the files already uploaded.
