hello,

after updating drupal to version6.14 the update.php shows this warning:

Upgrade Big Website from Drupal 5.20 to 6.14

Upgrading a website with around 200k nodes from Drupal 5.20 to 6.14

I read the drupal upgrade guide and i have tried with a test database.

But, the upgrade process doesn't complete. There are always some errors.

Also, should be upgrade happen in just one go, or it can be performed in different sub-sections.

Last time i ran update.php file, it was with url >> /update.php?op=start&id=7 which tells that it was seventh time. I guess this shouldn't cause any trouble ?

I have already spent 4 hours and the upgrade is still running.

upgrade problem

My site is hosted on hostpapa. I recently upgraded from 6.10 to 6.13 via fantastico (why i dont know.....fantastico i mean) Anyway I made are mess of it and spend last night reinstalling the modules and configuring.

All seems ok apart from many users are having login problems some are ok but very many are receiving password error messages.

Is there an easy fix to relink all usernames to passwords?

I will upgrade to 6.14 (not looking forward to it) when i have worked out how to do it safely ie once this issue is resolved

Why Drupal CMS?

Dear fellow drupal users,

Why do you prefer Drupal over Wordpress or Blogspot as your cms?

What is the BEST buddylist module in 6.x?

Hi,

I have a small community site running on 5.x and Buddylist module. I will soon upgrade to 6.x, so I need to choose the appropriate module to replace Buddylist. As I notice there are quite a few: User Relationships, FriendsList, Flag Friends etc

Please help to choose!

Most important features that I need:
* Easy import of data from Buddylist 5.x module. In 5.x version it was a 2-way relationship of "Friends", which now need to be ported into 1-way "Follower" relationship. If the other person follows him too, then they become "Mutual-followers", which is another relationship type.
* Good integration in terms of content-privacy and profile-privacy:
--- Visible to all,
--- Visible only to my followers,
--- Visible only to my mutual-followers
* ability for users to tag and thus to construct their own "Lists" of friends, like we see on Facebook (hopefully through some user-friendly AJAX). The original Buddylist had this functionality, albeit in a very primitive form.
* The "Contacts" section must function as a sort of e-Addressbook -- with alphabetical listings, and re-orderable listings (so I guess a good integration with Views and Content Profile is essential).

* Good integration with other social-networking utilities like Private messaging, Invite etc

My instinct at the moment is to go with FriendsList module. But it is still in .dev

'Security Update Required!' bug for Date module after upgrade from 6.13 to 6.14

I recently updated from 6.13 to 6.14 and am getting incessant popups telling me to update the Date module, which I have already done. This happened for other modules such as Taxonomy Manager, Views, etc. after doing the update, and after installing the new modules, all was hunky dory except for the Date module.
