Upgrading Drupal

Hello,

Seo Checklist module advised me to install Pathauto module. (5.x-2.3)

I noticed automated aliases are not available for anonymous usere (/admin/build/path)
The problem is that new posts are visible only for admin.
Users and anonymous don't see updates.

I turn of pathauto module, but in admin/build/path I don't see "Automated alias settings"

Any help?

Hello people,

I'm in the middle of a huge problem and i need some help deciding the best course of action to solve it. I'm in charge of upgrading a Drupal 5.11 installation, with a pretty huge database and lot's of contributed modules. When upgrading to 5.22, a lot of those modules already broke. After trying to upgrade to Drupal 6, i got lot's of errors during the upgrade process and most of the modules are broken (without versions for Drupal 6).

We are getting a fatal error when attempting to run update.php after installing 6.17. We followed the steps found here: http://drupal.org/node/340073

However we get a blank page when running the update. Looking at the error logs, it is this: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function _system_theme_data()

We tried moving our modules folder out, we have the bluemarine theme enabled, not sure what else is the problem. Any other ideas?

Since this is the first maintenance release since I began using Drupal, I need to ask if I should be worried about it breaking the site. The site is still not live but I'm worried about compatibility with contributed modules I'm using.

Hi,

I follow the procedure in UPGRADE.txt to upgrade my site from 6.16
to 6.17 (except that I did not turn my site off-line, since it's the internal site and
currently, I'm the only one use it).

The update procedure work smoothly but after upgrade, I can't login to
my site anymore !!

I check the database directly and find the user/password still there.
The the password is encrypted by MD5 correctly (I use 'md5sum' to check the
encrypted password manually).

Any suggestion ? Thanks.

The following download is provided for those users who do not want to overwrite all of the files in their Drupal 6.16 installation. Using a file comparison utility, the following zip file contains only the date modified files for the latest release of Drupal 6.17.

Upload the new files to your Drupal site, then log into your site as the administrator and run update.php. A link to the update.php file can be found on the Administer » Site building » Modules page.

After running update.php, your Available Updates and Status Report functions will indicate that you are running the latest Drupal release version.
