Drupal can't detect upgrade

Hi all,

My site can't detect Drupal version. After I upgrade to the latest version, it always shows me "Drupal 6.14" instead of "Drupal 6.19".
Same thing also with CKK, still detected as "CCK 6.x-2.7" instead of "CCK 6.x-2.8", and other contrib. modules as well.

I try to find some answer in one of thread, and I found this: http://drupal.org/node/794036
But I don't think there's duplication files/folders of some modules in my site.

world clock

I am trying to install worldclock 6.x-1.8. I already got worldclock 6.x-1.7. But it doesn't want to install. HELP!

How to fix major database corruption asap?

We attempted to upgrade our Drupal installation from 6.8 to 6.19 today and all we are getting now are a lot of different fatal errors. I can't find any posts on this that tell me anything definitive except that it may be corruption.

We've worked on this non stop all day -- repairing the database to the best of our ability, removing modules, etc. -- and are at a dead end. We are in real trouble here and need someone who has some experience working with corrupted databases, and we need it done right away. Is there anyone who can help us with this right away? Please help!!

Here's a brief synopsis of more details:

We put in version 6.19, ran the Upgrade script, got some error messages I can show you, but the system worked fine. Then I put in all the new versions of modules needed, went to update.php in my browser, got a notice I was missing the fbconnect folder, copied it from a backup and refreshed the update page before clicking the update button -- and that's where everything went wrong. I started getting WSOD. When I made it show error messages, I've gotten lots of different ones all day; some of them include:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function _system_theme_data() in /path/to/drupal6/includes/theme.inc on line 481

Ubercart and UPS shipping module - migration difficulties

Situation: Website migrated to a new host.
Before the migration I had the UPS price quoting working with some success, it would quote me the next day and 2 day shipping prices (However I was not able to get the regular ground shipping price to show up as a quote - could this be related to packaging?) , and allow me to move through the checkout process.

May I skip (module) updates?

Hello!
I wonder, if I could skip a module version, when updating?

Let's say, I use ACME module 6.1 .
Now version 6.2 and 6.3 get released (but I don't update).
And then version 6.4 appears, and I want to update this module (from version 6.1).

Do I have to install 6.2 and after that 6.3 and after that 6.4?
Or may I install 6.4 directly?

And what is about Drupal core - minor updates? (from 6.12 to 6.14 … and so on …)
