Upgrading Drupal

I upgraded a local 6.22 site to 7.4. After upgrading the Appearance and Modules admin links don't appear anywhere in the admin. If I try going directly to /admin/appearance or /admin/modules I get the error: "You are not authorized to access this page." All other admin links are there and work fine. Any ideas? I am a relatively new to Drupal so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was upgrading from 6.20 to 6.22 and ran into a bit of a problem. I put the site in maint mode & updated the .22 files and the update page went white. When I look at the home page, I have this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ARRAY, expecting '&' or T_VARIABLE or T_CONST in /nfs/c06/h01/mnt/88330/domains/crsurfcam.com/html/sites/all/modules/imageapi/imageapi.module on line 160

My Drupal 5 installation has been running fine, but it is time to upgrade. I would really like to start from scratch on a new clean Drupal 7 install and migrate content over as needed. What is the best way to do this if I am on the same server and want to end up with the same domain name?

With Drupal 7 having image capability built in, how will upgrading affect all previous content that has custom image fields?

I've used the MS WebMatrix web development tool to install Drupal. Unfortunately, WebMatrix installs version 7.2. Anyway, the installation via WebMatrix was successfull. I was able to connect to my first drupal website. I did not perform any additional comfiguration as I wanted to upgrade to the 7.4 version first.

I have just upgraded from d7.2 to d7.4 and I wanted to add some content on my site but I am getting this

"You have not created any content types yet. Go to the content type creation page to add a new content type."

I have many content types and all content are listed. Is this a bug or have I done something wrong ?
