Upgrading Drupal

Hello all,

I ran a very successful drupal guild site for a while now. When the payed hosting plan ends, I will have to move to a new server I just bought.

So... what I'm trying to do here is to migrate from one server to another. I have overcome a lot of problems (database mostly) but i seem to get stuck at one point.

Version I'm using in both cases is 4.7.0.

My checklist:

I'm preparing the upgrade from 4.6 to 4.7. In my installation, I use Flexinode to define Events, used with the event module. But I'm not sure whether I should go on using Flexinode, or should I convert to CCK? What exactly is the difference, is Flexinode deprecated or will it be in the future?

After upgrading my site to the newest version of drupal I am getting the following characters, s’. in the body of each node where ' would be.

Can anyone suggest an automated way or a find/replace method for removing these from each node?

so far I only had 1 installation of drupal 4.5.1 running - finally decided to upgrade to 4.7.4, almost everything went well: I had some strange error coming up when running the update.php ..and then my little computer crashed, so that i couldnt even check what kind of error occured. Dawn.

Hi. I might use Drupal. However, I wonder if I can update the Drupal beta 2 to the final version?

After the installation of the version 5.x, I executed www.mysite.com/update.php
I have the message #1015 in system.module
Is it a patch number ? where is the list of the patches in order to understand the problem ?
