Sql warnings after upgrading from 4.7 to 5.1

Hi there,

After trying around a lot, searching the forum and finally not getting an answer in the irc (#drupal-support @ freenode), my last hope lies in you! Yes, exactly you! If you know how I can resolve the issue below, I'd be really grateful if you could post it here. Even ideas'd be great.

This is it: I've got a site running on 4.7 (http://www.conquer-space.net) and I want to upgrade it to 5.1.
Following all the instructions it seems to work alright. On updating I get one message

Taxonomy Access - Update #2: No queries executed. Field 'grant_list' already exists in tables 'term_access'.

but everything else seems to run smoothly.
When then going on the site again (of course I did everything locally using a dump of the database), I get an error box within the content that reports on some mysql problems.

* user warning: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WHERE cid = 'menu:1:en'' at line 1 query: DELETE FROM WHERE cid = 'menu:1:en' in /home/sara/Public/drupal-2006-09-16-upgrade/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 172.

4.7.6 site still live, very 5 about to go live

Ok, I've done the upgrade, sorted everything out got my test site up and running and all is goes well.
It's taken me a week or so, so, now I want my new site to go live, however, my old site is and was still running with stories being added, and comments being added.
What I want to know, is what tables in the 4.7.6 site do I need to export/import so that I have all the node/stories as they are in the old site on the new site.
so far, I have pined down the following:

Help with updating an installation

Hi everyone,

I have a quandary. I am not a web guru at all. I love Drupal and have used for several years now. I've always done the installation myself and, usually through trial and error, get things working. But, and here is my problem, whenever I try and do an update or patch, things sort of blow up.

I am the founder of Families in Recovery, a nonprofit organization for children of alcoholics. I have about 19.2 million things to do as we start to build the organization. Rebuilding a web site because I corrupted my site trying to do an update should not be on that list.

I have no idea why my attempts at upgrading my site always end in disaster. But I have had to rebuild the Families in Recovery site three different times as a result. But this is an issue I need to deal with. My questions are...

1. I know Drupal is moving on the path of having automated installers. Will these ever update the site for me?

2. What would it cost to have a consultant/person do the updates for me. As a new nonprofit, funds are obviously limited. Any recommendations?

3. Is there a host out there who does site updates on a regular basis? Any recommendations?

Unknown username with upper case

Hi,
I upgrade ma 4.6.8 version to 4.7.6 but now Drupal can't find users with upper case. When I find user Petra I can't find him but petra is OK. Users with upper case in username now can't edit their own content because Drupal can't find them.
Any suggestion please

Access Denied to ALL users after upgrade to 5.0

I just upgraded (a backup version) of my drupal 4.5.7 site, to drupal 5.0. The upgrade script ran fine, no errors. I can see that it created new tables in the DB. However, whenever I login as user 1 or any other use, I get 'Access Denied.' I have emptied the sessions table a few times to see if that helps, no go. I can clearly login as it is checking against the DB (I purposefully mistyped my password to see what would happen). No luck.

Any suggestions? I upgraded my home site to drupal 5 without any problems at all, so would like to try some of my more complex sites.
