Upgrading Drupal

first of all apologies if this question has been asked before, I did try to look through the forum to find an answer and I came across this

Though it's not of much help I'm afraid.

I am a big Unreal Tournament 2004 fan and love to play online... but the thing is my dad took administrative rights off my computer and blocked unreal tournament with the firewall. I thought i could work around it through safe mode, but nothing worked. On my account, i got on the firewall to see what he was blocking, and UT2004 was checked. I couldn't uncheck it because im not an administrator. I have tried accessing the firewall through safe mode, but the internet needs to run in order for me to do that. So can you guys help me?

We are seriously in an isuue that how to manage the Home page of Drupal? We have tried with the front page module.But that is not upto the satisfactory level.

For example:
We want all the currently available components of the home page in a list.And if we want to add some Links or remove some Links from the Home page to change its look is it possible. How?

So please suggest me to manage the home page of drupal 5.x?

I upgraded a site from 4.7 to 5.1. Afterward, I could not view or edit the binary advanced poll content types that were core to the site. Adv poll module was 5.x-1.x-dev from Jan 30, 2007. The error was:

warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argumented is expected to be a valid callback, 'advpoll-ranking_node_form' was given in /home/tomhaney/public_html/ourbabyinfo/includes/form.inc on line 218.

I had a 4.7 update meltdown and got a blank site afterwards. I decided to install 5.1 and export user info from the old site into the new using PhpMyAdmin. I exported the 55 user list out, culled the data I needed and imported it into the 5.1 install without issue. All the users can log in and use the site. My problem arose when a new user tries to join. The system tries to dump the new user into an existing user id (UID). Where do I set the next available UID so this doesn't happen?

Since upgrading to 5.1 (across 3 of my drupal sites)

1. I cannot upload files via the File attachments function.

2. All files have disappeared from public_html/files

any suggestions?
