I have a non-profit client that suddenly want to upgrade their 4.6.3 site (previously wanting to do everything themselves) . I guess 4.6.11 is as far it will go without any site reconstructing. Can I expect problems with the database or core? Do I need to do it in steps to previous versions that 4.6.11? The handbook only covers upgrading until 4.6.5. Please give me a quick reply!
Seems that I updated four modules, pathauto, token, image, and cck.
Now I can't seem to log in. Actually, It seems any button I clicked was broken.
As in Button, I mean submit, login, etc.
I was logged in as admin, I logged out, and then trying to log back in I can't.
I logged in via ftp and deleted those 4 modules, but The problem still persists.
Anyone with some advice would on how to get back to the admin section?
Hello.
I have questions on updating a site. Now the basic modules used on a site - CCK, Category, Views (except for standard). Whether developers of these modules can provide support of the 6.x version Drupal? Or they will refuse modules?
Thanks for your information!
I'm a very nervous neophyte who is looking to upgrade my Drupal 4.7 site to 5.1 ... the main reason for this case of the nerves is that -- like everyone in this situation -- I'm afraid of losing files, esp. since they belong to the college newspaper that I advise. The fact that I'm a idiot with anything involving a server doesn't help, either. So apologies in advance for some questions that are so basic that I don't even realize I should be embarassed for not knowing their answers.
Here's the deal: Siteground hosts my site and I've read over the upgrade walk-thrus authored by Drupal and siteground.
Using the phpMyadmin tool, I exported a file named localhost.sql that was 32.3 mb in size. Nervous that this didn't seem right, I tried again and got a file named XXXXXX_drpl1.sql (where the XXXXXX is my user1 ID) that also was 32.3 mb. I'm thinking that 32.3 mb in size may be a little light for all the content, but then again, given that the content was predominantly text and we're only talking two-semester's worth, I'm not so sure.
