1. back up
2. unzip 5.2 files onto my server
3. run update.php
What does step 3 do?
I recently upgraded and then after some issues decided to ‘unwind’ the upgrade by deleting all files and folders from the 5.2 tar ball (step 2) and replacing with my old files and folders from my back up that I had made in step 1. But since I had also performed step 3 I am unsure as to whether I upgraded or not?
How do I get my site back to ONLINE mode? The administration pages won't load. Not sure it this means anything, but I hid the log-in fields from the site can I use this URL to gain acess: http://www.mysite.com/?q=user/log-in
Again, all I can get is this message: "Hawk’s Nest Publishing is currently under maintenance. We should be back shortly. Thank you for your patience."
I have upgraded from 4.7 to 5.2. The new installation is working fine at www.mysite.com but when I go to mysite.com it defaults back to the old 4.7 site . If I use a proxy service (open-url) both url's come up with the new 5.2 intallation without a problem . I have done the whole shift/refresh thing and it works to the extent it brings up the new 5.2 intallation but as soon as I click on the home page link (mysite.com) it defaults back to the 4.7 installation .Any thoughts would be most appreciated
I ran into a weird issue a few evenings ago. I recently upgraded my site from 4.7 to 5.x and noticed my login screen does not show the tabs 'login' 'register' 'request new password.' At the login screen, I now show the title of of one of my forums along with the username and password fields. I've searched and searched Drupal and Google and have not seen this issue come up. Can anyone provide me with some guidance as what to check or what the problem might me. Thanks in advance!
After my recent upgrade I cant post any forumcontent anymore. The content itself gets into the db and can be accessed by the direct node/nid url, but the forum list doesn't show any of my older forum topics and not even the new topics...
