4.7.8 Upgrade

Not really a problem, more of a question...(just wasn't sure where to put this!)

Short and sweet:
We're running 4.7.6 currently. We were going to upgrade to 4.7.7, but now 4.7.8 has just been released. Is it recommended to go 4.7.7 first, then 4.7.8?

5.2 -> 5.3: Why copy .htaccess?

The handbooks asks to copy the .htaccess from the old to the new drupal-directory (see the two pages: GUI and command-line.

I compared them and found that the new one has a different FilesMatch statement (plus a higher version-number).

If I didn't make any changes to my .htaccess, why should I keep the old one?

5.2 to 5.3 .. cant get drupal to recognize update.

I was running 5.2 and patched all the changed files to my install to the 5.3 version.

Pretty sure I made all the right changes, I do it line by line with a file comparison tool.

...

I ran the update and cron .. but it still says that I am running version 5.2.

What do I need to do here to 'finish the update' ..

Images not working after upgrade to Drupal 5.3

Hi, can anyone help me get the images working again?

I upgraded from drupal 4.7 to 5.3, and switched to the Image module 5.x-1.5 - and now no images load at all. They're triggering 404s in the watchdog logs.

I can upload new images fine.

Heres the issue

Audio overview page URL??

When using the audio module with drupal5 , www.example.com/audio should still go to the audio overview page right?

I'm not sure if its something I've done, but its no longer loading for me (in my newly upgraded 5 test site) - just gives a "page not found" error instead.

I did remove some menu items in mysql, perhaps I have accidentally removed the audio overview page URL?

Can anyone tell me how can I recreate it with phpmyadmin, or via another method?

Upgradding multiple sites from CLI ?

I'm running a multiple-site setup and need to move the whole thing to another server and would like to run an upgrade from 4.6 to 5 while I'm at it. I just administer the server and have no access to the specific weblogs themselves, so I can't login via the web-interface as user-1. I do have root-access to the machine and would like to update all sites using the update.php script from the command-line. Is this possible, and how should I do it to ensure all sites get updated.
