Forum problems after upgrade to 5.3

Since updating to 5.3, when I post to the Forum it doesn't offer a list of established forums to put the new post in, and when I post the forum, it does not show up in any of the existing forums. However, it does show up in my "new forum posts" area. But that is the only place I can find it.

I know 5.3 had a Forum fix in it. Does anyone have a solution?

Access denied for all users in custom module

Hi,

I'm having a strange issue with upgrading a custom module from 5.2 to 6.0 beta 1. When I try to access one of the pages in the menu declaration (localhost/tinyurl), I get a blank page that says only "2", and watchdog reports access denied for that page. I already set permissions to all users, and even tried accessing the page as uid=1, but I still get the "2" response and "access denied" log.

By the way, here is my hook_menu implementation:

Is upgrading from 5.2 to 53. necessary?

Hello,

i am using drupal 5.2. Recently I have had problems with the server getting too slow. That was probably caused by too many comment spams. Now I deactivated the comment functions.

Is it necessary for security measures to upgrade from 5.2. to 5.3? would that also solve the server problems? (my provider closed my website because of too high CPU usage...)

Thanks
Klaus

Guidance wanted: Fixing up a restored site

Greetings,

I restored a site from a disk crash and upgraded it to 5.2. The site is up and running but it is having some problems with user accessing contents. Although I set up role based access, a non-admin user (anonymous and authenticated) is not able to access any content.

So, here is what I'm thinking about fixing up the site:

(1) Backup the database;
(2) Drop the database and rerun the install.php script;
(3) Restore the tables in the "new" install using the backup via phpMyAdmin.

Problem with Taxonomy/Categories upon upgrading

I am not sure why but when I upgraded, users on my site no longer have the option to categorize their entries. There is no longer a place in the content management where I can edit the vocabularies of the categories, but I did install all the correct modules. Did anyone have a similar problem or know what is going on? Thanks, I am really new to Drupal and was sort of thrown into managing a website without any previous background in web design. I searched the site and tried figuring it out but nothing worked.

Upgrade to PHP 5.2.x

After upgrading from PHP 4.0.26 to PHP 5.0 all sites on Drupal 4.7 are unavailable with error code 500. Site on Drupal 5.0 has problem with encoding: www.velo100.org.
What's the problem? What can I do?
